That's the end of the first week back at work. It's quite disturbing how quickly it seems to feel that you've never been off at all. Although I have definitely enjoyed listening to the radio at work over the past few days. Things are starting to get back to normal there, and I do think that it has been much better having a short week back then a full one.

I took the Christmas decorations down last night, so that's that over for another year. On the way home from work I bought the latest issue of "Uncut" magazine. As usual it came with a free CD ("New Music for 2006") and the main headline for the month was about the music of 1966 (The Year of Rock Revolution, according to the magazine's cover).

I'll be going out tomorrow to my parent's house. The reason I'm going on a Saturday instead of a Sunday is that my brother is up from London, where he works as a classical musician, and we were going to all go out somewhere.

I was planning on going to the movies at the weekend. The major new movies out this week are "Match Point", the new Woody Allen film, and "Brokeback Mountain", so I'll probably see one of those two. I haven't decided what yet.
