Apr. 13th, 2006 07:41 pmToday was pretty quiet really. I have Friday and Monday off for my Easter holidays, which is nice. I was busy last night cleaning the kitchen because I saw an insect scuttling across the floor. I do think that some are coming in from other flats. That's one of the problems with living in the flat, you never know what's around in the other places. I'm planning to do some cleaning over the holiday. My place is pretty clean, mostly, and I never leave food lying around, so I'm not really worried, it's just not very nice.
I'm not going to spend my whole holiday worrying about a few bugs.
I read that Eli Roth and Quentin Tarantino have been made "honorary vikings", for some reason.
Today is the birthday of Irish playwright Samuel Beckett (13 April 1906), the author of "Waiting for Godot". Although he mainly wrote for the stage, as well as some short stories and novels, Beckett was very interested in cinema and once wrote to the famous Russian director Sergei Eisenstein asking if he could work as Eisenstein's assistant, but never got a reply. Beckett did make one film in the 1960s, a twenty minute short called "Film".
I don't really have anything interesting to write today.
