Mar. 5th, 2006 07:08 pmLast night was pretty uneventful. I just sat around most of the time reading.
This morning, before we went to my parent's house as usual for a Sunday, my Dad took me to a shopping centre, because he needed a few things (such as a Mother's Day card for my Gran). We had a very late breakfast in the food court (I had a scone, with raspberry jam, and a cappuccino. It was quite nice but they didn't give you enough butter. I had to put the jam on one side and butter on the other). Afterwards we split up and had a walk around. I bought a book called "Byron: The Life and the Legend" by Fiona McCarthy. I got it cheap because I had been given a £5 voucher to spend at the shop, so i was pleased about that.
For lunch we had pancakes for dessert, because it was Shrove Tuesday last Tuesday, and we usually always have pancakes then, but didn't this year, becasue I wasn't around. it;s the only time in the year we ever have pancakes usally, although we all really like them.
The rest of the day has been quiet. The Oscars are on tonight, live. I won't be watching though becasue it doesn't finish until five in the morning and I have work tomorrow. I'd intended to get the day following Oscar Night off one year, so I could actually watch the whole thing, but I forgot.
